New Sporting is more than a boxing glove brand—it’s a legacy. It began with Emma Velázquez Alvarez, who trained under Cleto Reyes’ founder, Alberto Reyes. Starting as a seamstress, she mastered glove-making in a renowned factory.

Emma and her husband, José Fuentes Alonso, later launched Alex Sport, working with their nine children and a skilled team. Their expertise in synthetic and leather products paved the way for New Sporting.

The brand was founded by their grandson, José Daniel Fuentes, and his wife, Yuselin Amador, at just 20, initially to fund their studies. Today, New Sporting operates as a close-knit workshop of 12 artisans, crafting premium gear for top global brands and their own label.
