New Sporting is more than just another boxing glove brand—it's the next chapter in a storied family legacy that begins with the late Emma Velázquez Alvarez. At the age of 20, Emma trained under Mr. Alberto Reyes, creator and owner of Cleto Reyes. Initially hired as a seamstress, she quickly honed the craft of glove-making in a factory famous for its high-quality production.

Over time, Emma and her husband, José Fuentes Alonso, launched their own business, Alex Sport, working alongside their nine children and a dedicated team of employees. Their expertise in both synthetic and leather products laid the groundwork for the brand’s evolution.

Eventually, the torch passed to José Daniel Fuentes (Emma’s grandson) and his wife Yuselin Amador, who at just 20 years old founded New Sporting with the simple goal of paying for their studies. Driven by passion and a commitment to excellence, the business grew into a global supplier of high-end boxing gear. Today, New Sporting is a tight-knit workshop of about 12 artisans, producing premium gear for multiple world-renowned brands in addition to their own.
